BASIC HATCARE Firstly, the hat is made to take on the shape of your head, so please do not place the crown of the hat on any other object. It is also best not to handle your hat by the front brim. It is best lifted or put on by holding it with both hands by the side or near the back. The long felt straps can be used to tie your hat on a hook or even a hanger. The hats are best preserved when hanging from their straps(or the elastic in the flat caps) and with the top of the hat facing the ground. I do hope that makes sense. Secondly, these hats are not rain hats BUT...if you do get caught in a light drizzle to medium rain whilst wearing your hat- it is best to:....
1. Use your umbrerlla.
2. Keep your hat on until you have a place to let it dry properly. 3. Letting it dry properly is best done in the hanging postion, as explained earlier, and away from direct heat.
The felt is best kept clean by brushing it regularly with a clothes brush . This is best done whilst it is sitting on your head. Please do not use water on any stain. Salt can be use on Red wine stains ,but only on the stained area, please note that is best not to leave the salt on for any extended amount of time. If you have any other questions at all, please feel free to contact me. claudette@ilovehats.com All the best, CHAPEAU CLAUDETTE for i love hats P.s. Just remember: slowly tilt your hat a bit to the side :) |
